As I shared in the last newsletter, we will be talking about Facebook Ads targeting and why you should promote your Ads via Facebook Ads Manager instead of Instagram.
When targeting, especially in Nigeria. You want to promote to a broad audience so that the algorithm has enough room to serve your ads to the right set of people.
This is because the audience pool in Nigeria is still relatively small for you to perform any deep targeting and this might make you lose out on customers that may actually convert for you and also with helping the algorithm learn more about your ideal customers.
Always use your Instagram or Facebook page insights such as gender, location and age to guide your targeting options.
With Facebook Ad manager, You have the options to explore custom audiences and also create campaigns that are more optimized for specific actions such as conversions, traffic or engagement. With Instagram Ads you are automatically promoting Ads for traffic.
